Download a sales sheet (PDF) for the JS-20.

The JS-20 scan head’s performance is based on simple trigonometry – principles that have been used in surveying for centuries.

JS-20 diagram

The JS-20’s built-in laser projects a line onto the surface of the object passing below it (1); then views that surface from an angle using the built-in camera (2); and then calculates the dimensions at hundreds of points along the laser line (3). You can use the resulting information to more precisely align cutters or other machinery, increasing both your production efficiency and quality control.

The JS-20 is simple to set up and operate - it only requires a 24VDC power supply and an off-the-shelf Ethernet cable, and you can use a standard desktop computer to run it. Robert Cecil, Engineer Nelson Bros. Engineering
