How it Works

Overview

The JS-20 scan head’s performance is based on simple trigonometry – principles that have been used in surveying for centuries.

Steps of the scanning process

  1. As each piece passes within the JS-20 scan head's view, the built-in laser projects a line of light on it.
  2. The JS-20 scan head's built-in camera views the laser as it intersects the piece, gathering precise data on the piece's shape and dimensions.
  3. Based on that information, the JS-20 scan head provides data in engineering units so the overall system can interpret it and make optimal desicions.

You can use the resulting information to more precisely align cutters or other machinery, increasing both your production efficiency and quality control
