JoeScan JS-20 scan heads deliver fast, accurate readings over an easy-to-use Ethernet interface. They offer a winning combination of reliability, performance and ease of use. It’s no wonder so many sawmills and systems integrators are using JoeScan.

Reliable: The JS-20 series is designed for the most challenging industrial environments. Our scan heads even withstand the extreme vibration of riding on the carriage, and the aluminum housing is fully sealed to keep out dust and moisture. With no moving parts, JS-20 models are designed to deliver years of unfailing service.

Compatible: JoeScan provides the source code for communicating with the scanners. All the heavy lifting of sockets, network protocols, message decoding and encoder synchronization is neatly wrapped up and well-documented. The code compiles under both Windows and Unix, and we provide bindings for Visual Basic 6.0 as well. We work closely with you to ensure that it’s easy to communicate with our scanners in your environment.

Easy to use: JS-20 models install in minutes. With just 24V DC power and an Ethernet connection, you can monitor and configure the scanner from any Web browser on the network. The calibration techniques for JS-20 scanners are the most intuitive and flexible in the industry: Just drag the scan data near the shape it should fit on, and the scanner finishes the job.

The JoeScan scanner has a simple interface that makes it easy to integrate with other products. It's as easy as or easier than any other product on the market. And its reliability is its single best attribute. Rod Nelson, Owner - Nelson Bros.
