Troubleshooting


If you’re having trouble with your scanner, go through this list first to see if you can correct the problem yourself:

  1. Check the cables and make sure the Ethernet light is on.
  2. Use JSDiag to make sure the scanner can see the board and not background light.
  3. Swap in a different scanner to verify that the problem is not the cables.

If you're still having problems,
print an RMA form and follow the instructions provided.


At JoeScan, we offer a full 5-year warranty on every scan head we sell – and a guaranteed 10 years of product support. That’s the best warranty in the industry, and one we couldn’t offer if our products hadn’t already proved to be long-lasting and reliable in the field.

Coverage
When you buy a JoeScan product, it’s covered for 5 years from the day you buy it. If you encounter a manufacturing defect within 5 years, we will fix it at no charge. And we’ll have your scan head repaired within three days of receiving it. We normally return repaired products via UPS Ground, but we can also expedite shipping if necessary.

In addition, every JoeScan product is covered by our guaranteed 10-year support policy. We won’t declare a product obsolete and stop supporting it – you can count on us to be there for you for 10 years or more.

Older products
The new warranty applies to any scan head purchased after May 1, 2007. If you have a scanner purchased before then, it’s covered by the 1-year product warranty and 5-year laser warranty in effect when you bought it. It’s also covered by our 10-year product support guarantee.

Warranty procedures
If you encounter a problem with your scan head:

  • Consult the Troubleshooting tips on the left side of this page.
  • If you're not able to correct the problem, print an RMA form and follow the instructions provided.
  • Send the product and RMA form to JoeScan, 119 E. 8th St., Vancouver, WA 98660.
